DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: FEBRUARY 19, 2019

Do you want to bring something new to your classroom this fall? The SPCD (Stages Pédagogiques de Courte Durée) program offers funding for a total of 35 American teachers to attend a short summer training in France : 29 positions are offered for teachers of French as a foreign language at CAVILAM French Alliance in the town of Vichy ; and 6 positions for teachers of Dual Language & Immersion programs at CLA (Centre de Langues Appliquées) in the town of Besançon.

Each scholarship includes:
- Tuition for the session,
- Transportation from Paris to the city where the session is held (round trip by train in second class),
- Accommodation and a portion of meal expenses,
- Additional financial assistance between $600 - $1200, depending on the session, to go towards the purchase of international round-trip airfare.

Stage CLA à Besançon pour les enseignants de classes bilingues

6 bourses offertes

- Applicants must currently hold a full time position as a teacher of French or a teacher in a French dual language or immersion program

- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. French nationals may not apply for the SPCD grants.

- Those who have received a grant from the French Government over the last 3 years may not apply for the SPCD grants

- Applicants must have at least an intermediate level of proficiency in French (at least B1* level on the CEFR scale for teachers of French as a foreign language ; at least B2** level on the CEFR scale for teachers in bilingual programs)

*B1 level is equivalent to the Intermediate High level on the ACTFL scale

*B2 level is equivalent to the Advanced Low level on the ACTFL scale
