Bastille Day 2018, an ever moving ceremony celebrating Liberty, Fraternity and the long-lasting Franco-American friendship!
On July 14, 2018, Consul General, Valéry Freland, invited 300 guests to a garden party at the Residence of France which celebrated France and its terroirs.
All regions were illustrated with delicacies and French specialties.
The reception honored two American World War II Veterans who landed on the beaches of Normandy at twenty years old to defend France’s freedom.
Arthur Colachico and Thomas Hanson, who both came with their family, were each awarded the French Legion of Honor, the highest recognition for bravery and honor within the French army.
