Scope of position:

The Consulate General of France in Boston is currently seeking an Entry-Level Administrative Assistant-Chauffeur, beginning on January 1, 2016, to provide driving support for the Consul General and administrative support while he or she is not on the road. This is a permanent full-time position.
Successful applicants must be willing and able to perform any of the roles outlined in the relevant duties. Candidates must be bilingual in French and in English. Applicants must either be American citizens or permanent residents.

The ideal applicants possess:

1. Good communication skills in French and English (spoken and written)
2. Valid Driver’s License (USA)
3. Strong working knowledge of Boston and surroundings areas as well as ME, NH, RI and VT
4. Very good interpersonal skills and capacity to maintain client service standards
5. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
6. Capacity to be a good team member and report to your supervisor

Entry-Level Administrative Assistant-Chauffeur responsibilities include but are not limited to
• Answer telephone enquiries from customers, attend to visitors and assist other staff in the organization with their enquiries
• File papers and documents
• Deal professionally and respectfully with the public
• operate French Government vehicle on a daily basis
• transport office personnel, visitors and/or government officials
• Work days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required - some trips may require an overnight stay (expenses paid)

Salary and Benefits

• 3 436 USD
• Any accrued overtime will result in additional compensation
• Health insurance (Employer’s contribution = 2/3 of the premium)
• 25 days paid vacation
