Emily Reichert is the CEO of GreenTown Labs based in Somerville, MA. She is one of the young leaders who got invited to visit France as part of the French International Visitor Leadership Program: "Programme d’Invitation des Personnalités d’Avenir"!
During her trip to France, Emily Reichert was welcomed at the World Efficiency Summit.
She had a meeting with Mrs. Hélène Barthelemy, Innovation Deputy Director, Ministry of Ecology and Solidarity Transition.
In Lyon, Emily Reichert visited Tuba Lyon which creates multi-stakeholders partnerships to drive urban transformation and smart city implementation.
She went to Lyon incubator Bel Air Camp and met with CEO Pauline Siche with whom she discussed best practices.

As Chief Executive Officer, Emily Reichert sets Greentown Labs’ strategic direction, focusing on increasing the organization’s impact on clean and energy efficient technology commercialization through entrepreneurship. She also directs Greentown’s efforts to engage new corporate and foundation partners, to expand recognition and education programs for clean technology entrepreneurs, to leverage the local community of entrepreneurs, investors, universities, government agencies and NGOs striving to build clean energy future, and to maintain greater Boston’s competitiveness in clean technology nationally and internationally.
Prior to Greentown Labs, Emily Reichert was the Director of Business Operations at the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry, where she helped grow the company from an angel-funded start-up to a sustainable contract R&D business with a mission to minimize environmental impact of chemical processes and products. She has over fifteen years of experience serving in R&D, business development and operations leadership roles.
Emily Reichert holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Redlands, a Ph.D. in physical chemistry at University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
This year, Emily Reichert has been nominated as Women Who Mean Business in 2017 by the Boston Business Journal. She therefore has been recognized for doing an outstanding work, blazing new trails, creating profitable partnerships and helping to make Boston business community and economy grow.
