The Office for Science and Technology of the French Embassy in the US is recruiting talented, highly-dynamic and international-oriented individuals (preferentially U.S. residents) for its “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” section in Boston.
These internships will allow you to experience the vibrant multi-cultural environment of the French Consulate in Boston. You will become part of a young team of high-level professionals dedicated to the promotion of international scientific collaborations and start-up developments. These intensive and well-supervised internships offer an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and international networks in the fields of technology innovation and entrepreneurship.
What we offer
A full- or part-time non-paid internship starting immediately for 2 to 6 months
Assignment:
Strategic monitoring and reporting on the last innovation, technology transfers and entrepreneurship trends in the US (for the weekly scientific articles in French having 11,800 subscribers and for in-depth reports like “the cleantech innovation support system” or the “US entrepreneurial culture”).
Organizing the partnership missions of labs, companies and clusters coming from France
Helping in regular event preparation
Attending conferences and networking events in the field
Assisting the design of “French Tech Insight” the monthly e-newsletter in English
Qualifications required:
A scientific background (ideally a major in a scientific field + a minor in entrepreneurship)
A high interest for the scientific research in general and for the innovation process in particular, i.e. technology commercialization and start-up creation.
Good analytical and synthesis skills
Excellent writing and communication skills in English
Excellent networking skills
Basic French language skills
