Issue 3 - April 2009
Welcome to the third issue of the France Tech Insight, our
monthly newsletter introducing the latest updates in science
and technology in France.
The major information this month regarding our activities is
the call for expressions of interest regarding our flagship
program YEi (Young Entrepreneurs Initiative). The call aims
at selecting the French institution (or a pool of) able to
gradually take over the program and give it a new impetus
by 2011. But we are not going to be out of work ! First the
Embassy is expected to be involved in YEI until 2010 and
second we are currently designing a new business
accelerator initiative that aims at helping French
entrepreneurs to develop new ventures in the US. You will
find out more in our next issue...
In our "Innovation Actor of the Month" section, emphasis is
put on the CURIE association. CURIE gathers more than
100 technology transfers offices from major universities,
colleges and research institutes.
The special features will this month focus on three topics :
low cytometry, red blood cells used as therapeutic vectors,
and a far-reaching operation launched in Africa by the
French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).
And many more...
I wish you a very fruitful reading and I look forward to
reading from you shortly.
