Marjane Satrapi’s book Persepolis, based on her experience of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, explores stories of her family - from dethroned emperors to heroes of the revolution.

The animated film adaptation of Persepolis won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008 and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Join us for an intriguing evening with Marjane Satrapi as she discusses the origins of her creative process and work, expressing the enduring complexity and richness of Persian culture in today’s Middle East.
