Maurice Pialat: retrospective at the HFA starting September 18th [fr]

Maurice Pialat : A Retrospective

Maurice Pialat (1925-2003) directed eleven feature films between 1968 and 1995. Each is a gripping slice of life, whether depicting adolescents experimenting with sex, the decline of an affair, the struggles of police detectives and priests, or the last days of Van Gogh. Pialat built upon the tradition of the New Wave to forge contemporary French cinema.
