A Letter from the Consul General
Dear all,
I am very pleased to welcome you to the website of the Consulate General of France in Boston. This website and the entire Consulate staff are at your service. Here, we hope you will not only find answers to your questions, but also get information on the many activities related to France happening in New England (the territorial competence of this Consulate General covers Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont).
As Consul General, it is my duty to protect the interests of French residents and tourists in New England, and offer them numerous administrative services including providing passports, identification cards, notary documents, as well as useful information about the country of residence and its legal system.
Your presence in New-England is an asset for our country and for the relationship between France and the United States. As the local representative of the French diplomacy in New England, my mission is to develop and sustain, in coordination with the Ambassador and the Embassy services in Washington, partnerships with American institutions, and to promote France’s Cultural, Scientific and Business interests with the support of very dynamic institutions such as the French American Chamber of Commerce in New England (FACCNE), the French Tech Boston and the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE).
If you are American or of other nationality, our section “Visas for France” will give you all of the necessary information on the conditions of your entry and stay in France, and the process for getting a visa, when needed.
If you are a French resident of New England or a visitor to the area, you will find information concerning the different services offered by the Consulate and practical information about local laws and customs. You will also find the contact information of your Consular Advisors, Honorary Consuls, and of the many French and francophone institutions with which this Consulate works to foster links between the French citizens in the region and France.
For all of those who, regardless of their nationality, want to know about cultural and scientific activities related to France in Boston and in the rest of New England, click on the “Culture and Education” and “Science and Technology” sections of our site. There are numerous events organized by this Consulate General and its partners that we hope you will attend. In addition, the “Education” section contains information for those who want to give their children a French education in the States, for French professors who work in American schools, and for all those who want to study in France.
Finally, for those of you who wish to directly access up to date information about our activities, please do not hesitate to follow our pages on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Twitter. You can also share your questions and suggestions with us at consulat.boston-cslt@diplomatie.gouv.fr.
I hope to have the opportunity to meet you soon and wish you a pleasant visit on our website!
Best regards,
Mustafa SOYKURT
