Projects and cooperation: a dynamic start to the fall season for the Consul General

It’s been a particularly busy and fruitful fall season for Consul General Mustafa Soykurt. Here’s an overview of the meetings and events of the past few weeks:

Meeting with Harvard University

The Consul General first met with representatives of Harvard University’s French student association, the French Caucus. Discussions were lively and fruitful, focusing on a number of cooperation projects that will get underway in the coming weeks.

Exchange with Schneider Electric

Mr. Soykurt had a valuable exchange with Sandrine De Guio, Vice President at Schneider Electric. The discussion was fruitful, touching on her activities, sustainable development and joint cooperation projects in New England. Many thanks to her for her commitment to the New England CCEF.

Collaboration with MIT

The Consul also met Patrick Jaillet, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who is in charge of the MIT France program. The exchange was highly productive, focusing on working methods and prospects for cooperation with this prestigious university.

CCEF fall meeting

We were delighted to welcome the CCEFs to the Résidence de France for their annual meeting. On the agenda: the introduction of the new Foreign Trade Advisors joining the Boston Committee, and a presentation by President Nicolas de Beco of projects and events in New England. There was a lively exchange of views on the relationship between France and the United States and the prospects for future development. Thank you once again for your commitment to promoting France and its attractiveness!

Working lunch with the “Team France”

Mr. Soykurt then hosted a working lunch at the Residence de France with New England’s “Team France”, comprising the region’s Franco-American economic organizations (Les CCEF, La French Tech, FACCNE) as well as colleagues from Business France and the regional economic service of the French Embassy in the United States. Discussions were rich and productive, focusing on cooperation projects for the coming year in the service of the French business community and the promotion of ties between France and the United States. Meeting with French Touch

Finally, the Consul was delighted to welcome to the Residence representatives of “French Touch”, the French student association of Berklee College of Music, a leading institution in music education. Discussions focused on projects to promote and enhance French and francophone music.
